Inside Vendor Information

October 16, 2010

The inside exhibit area has been pre-planned to provide efficient traffic flow and to maintain an equal footprint for every vendor space sold. Multiple vendor spaces may be purchased, as available, and each include a table with chairs - if needed.

We expect that each vendor will maintain their displays within their purchased space, to maintain traffic flow and help us meet the fire marshall code.

A purchased vendor space may be used without a table, for example, to display any personal book/magazine racks you might bring. For specific space locations on the floor, spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so contact us early for the most selections.

  • Inside Space: $10 per 8 foot space -
one table (with chairs) is included, if needed.

  • Gate access to Fairgrounds for inside vendor's set-up:
    • Friday - 12:00 (noon) to 10:00 p.m. EDT
    • Saturday - 06:00 a.m. EDT until gates open at 08:00 a.m.

Note: For security reasons, during set-up hours, access to the inside exhibit center will be only for exhibitors wearing vendor badges. For this reason, make sure to wear your provided vendor badge.

Interested in joining us? We encourage all vendors with ham radio merchandise, electronics, or products relevant to the amateur radio hobby to contact us for information about attending.  The sooner you reach the GrayHamfest® contact person (below), the greater the remaining choices of location within the exhibit hall.  We appreciate all exhibitors who choose to include us on their calendar.

As a bonus, inside exhibitors have WiFi connectivity to the Internet, within the exhibit center, during the hamfest.

Outside Tailgating Information

October 16, 2010

Tailgating will once again be held outside in a spacious open-air area, just a short walking distance for the visitors from the inside main exhibit arena.

If the forecast should call for threatening weather, provisions have been made through the Appalachian Fairgrounds for a covered area[1], different from the inside vendors, to be available for tailgating. Everything continues rain or shine.

  • Tailgate sites = FREE  with paid gate admission

  • Gate access to Fairgrounds for outside tailgater set-up:

    • Saturday Only - 06:00 a.m. EDT until hamfest opens.

Note [1]: Parking will not be available in the covered area for tailgating, should weather cause a covered area option, but tailgaters may drive in temporarily for unloading and later for reloading.
